Information Day for the European Project “STEPS” at the Municipality of Elefsina

The Common Benefit Enterprise of the Municipality of Elefsina is hosting an information day for the European Project “STEPS” (Erasmus+ Youth Programme). Elefsina is a partner in the above project under the lead of The Institute of Research & Training on European Affairs – IRTEA.

The event will take place on Thursday 29/11/2018 at 18:30 at “Dimitra” room of “Elefsina Hotel” (Dimitros 55, Elefsina)
The Common Benefit Enterprise of the Municipality of Elefsina is planning to establish a Youth Educational Training Center on European issues and policies of the European Union while utilizing fast growth new technologies.
Within this Youth Center, its beneficiaries will have the change to obtain valuable new knowledge and information through non formal education methods and through the use of the e-learning platform CEREBRUM Online System which has been developed by The Institute of Research & Training on European Affairs.

The educational methods that will be used will rise above the limits of a traditional classroom and all relative obstacles that vulnerable groups typically face. This platform will operate as a long distance academy, a virtual discussion room of its users for the current state of affairs throughout Europe, while focusing on specific EU policies.

Access to the information day is free of charge for:
-Unemployed people, Youngsters
-Educators and Teachers
-People with Special Needs
-Municipal employees of the Youth sector
Part of the agenda is a detailed presentation of the project by the lead partner The Institute of Research & Training on European Affairs

The training modules are:
-civil and human rights of EU Citizens
-social entrepreneurship
-up to date educational methods
-funding opportunities for new entrepreneurs and sustainability of schools and youth centers
-“Smart cities” and “Green entrepreneurship”

This is a project of high importance not only for the young people of the municipality, as it aims at having an impact in the wider area.

There will be a scheduled coffee break and all the attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.
