Information Workshop on the European Project “STEPS”

The Institute of Research & Training on European Affairs – I.R.T.E.A invites you to participate in the information workshop of the European Project “STEPS” (Erasmus + Youth Programme), which is organized by the Public Enterprise of the Municipality of Elefsina, as a partner in the programme, headed by I.R.T.E.A.. The workshop will be held on Thursday, 29/11/2018, at 18:30, at the “Elefsina Hotel” (Str. Dimitros 55, Elefsina), in the room “Dimitra”.

Using a rapidly growing technology, the Public Enterprise of the Municipality of Elefsina wishes to create a Training Center on European Issues and Policies, which are promoted by the European Union. Through the Center, participants will have the opportunity to acquire valuable knowledge through non-formal education and the e-learning platform CEREBRUM, developed by I.R.T.E.A..

Education, will exceed the narrow limits of the teaching class, as well as the obstacles that arise for the most vulnerable social groups. The platform will function as a distance academy, as a forum of discussion and express of concerns regarding the happenings in Europe, with a focus on specific EU policies.

In the workshop, can participate free of charge:

-Unemployed and young people

– Teachers of secondary education

– People with disabilities

– Municipality Staff, working in the youth field


and is planning to be an extensive presentation by the project manager “
Institute of Research & Training on European Affairs”.

The contents will cover the following:

– rights of EU citizens

– creation of social enterprises

– modern educational methods

– funding opportunities for entrepreneurship and schools, to support the sustainable operation of the Youth Center
– “Smart” cities and Green Entrepreneurship

The significance of the project is great not only for young people in the region, but it aspires to bring multiple and multilevel impact within the municipality.
