Multiplier Event for the Project STEPS-Youth Centers at the Municipality of Kordelio-Evosmos

The Institute of Research & Training on European Affairs is hosting a multiplier event – information day for the European Project “STEPS”. The main topic of the day will be the presentation of a Guide for Youth Centers targeted at Municipalities. The project was funded by the Erasmus+ Programme for Youth.

The event will take place on Monday 11 November between 12:00 and 13:00 at the Thematic Youth Park of the municipality of Kordelio-Evosmou (Karavaggeli & Papadiamanti 2, 563 34, Kordelio) in cooperation with the department of Education and Social Services of the municipality of Kordelio-Evosmou and the Youth Information Center of the municipality.

The aim of the event is to present the Guide for the Establishment of Youth Centers for Municipalities, created in the framework of the implementation of the project “STEPS – Youth Centers” as well as to explore funding opportunities of programs and projects that each municipality could implement in its Youth Center. At the same time, there will be a presentation of the other results of the project, regarding the creation of Youth Centers in 4 Municipalities of the country. At these Youth Centers, educators, unemployed young people and municipal employees were able, through a range of activities based on non-formal learning, to be trained in EU citizenship, social enterprise creation, modern education methods and funding opportunities for young entrepreneurs and school units.

The event is open to all and especially to local politicians, municipal counsellors, municipal employees of the youth department, teachers and educators and young residents of the area.
