Press Release YOUNG SERVICE DESIGNERS PROJECT – Public Event

The Institute of European Research and Training – I.R.T.E.A. is a partner in the European project “Young Service Designers – YSD,” which is funded by the European Union and the ERASMUS+ program (European Youth Together (EYT) Sub-programme under the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency – EACEA, GA n°624732).

On March 24, 2023, I.R.T.E.A. implemented the Public Event of the YSD Program at the Gazi View venue, as part of the EUropa.S Conference. The event featured the presentation of results and the service designed in collaboration with the Municipality of Salamis, with the support of the Young Service Designers of the YSD Project and the Youth Workers team.

During this Public Event, 91 young people were informed about the project, the collaboration with the Municipality, and the remarkable work that has been achieved so far during the project’s lifecycle. From the phase of the Capacity Building Programme to the ongoing process of the final steps before the implementation of the designed service, the Young Service Designers spoke about their experiences, new knowledge and skills, as well as their active participation and its significance. Additionally, they mentioned the two Peer-to-Peer Events where they had the opportunity to participate, traveling to Lublin, Poland, and Tampere, Finland, respectively, and interacting with other project participants from other countries.

The positive response, the interest, and the positive feedback from the audience have given us courage and inspiration to shape and utilize the service that has been designed for the young people of the Municipality of Salamina during the Pilot Implementation Phase.

The results that emerged from the meeting will be presented in Monza, Italy, during the Closing Ceremony next month, which we are truly looking forward to.

Stay tuned for the next steps of the project!
