Study Visit of the Project’ partners to Gothenburg, Sweden

The next phase of the European Project STEPS-Youth Centers is currently in progress with the Study Visit in Youth Centers and the partners meeting in Gothenburg, Sweden, at the headquarters of the Project partner TidsNätverket i Bergsjön – ΤΝΒ, on Wednesday 26th & Thursday 27th of September 2018. The TNB is the coordinator of the Study Visit and good practice provider, while the partner representatives from the Municipal Public Benefit Company of Elefsina, the Municipal Public Benefit Company (MPBC) of the Municipality of Plateau of Lasithi, the Municipality of Skyros, the Municipality of Komotini, the Municipality of Aradippou, the NGO System & G, as well as the coordinator of the Project, the Institute of Research & Training on European Affairs, traveled to Sweden in order to attend the next phase of the funded from the Programme Erasmus+ Project.

The Project partners implemented Study Visits at the Youth Center Radar 72, as well as at Center Fjället. During the visits at the Youth Centers, their coordinators explained to the partner representatives the function of the Youth Centers, their contribution in the youth’s lives, as well as the use of the technological equipment provided. In addition, they had the opportunity to attend some activities held at the Youth Centers with the participation of young people, so as to see the use of the innovative tools provided.

The partners listened to the Youth Centers’ coordinators with great interest and asked questions for the best understanding of the project, as they will be the ones to organize and run the Youth Centers that will be created in the participating Municipalities’ regions, through the implementation of STEPS Project.

Following the Study Visits, a partners’ meeting will be held in order to summarize the best practices implemented at the Youth Centers of Sweden, as well as their application in the Youth Centers about to be created in the Municipalities of Skyros, Elefsina, Komotini and Lasithi Plateau. Last but not least, during the partner’s meeting, the next phases of the Project and their implementation will be planned.
