The Institute of Research and Training on European Affairs-I.R.T.E.A on the grounds of the European Programme European Solidarity Corps – ESC, is opening a call for volunteers.
The European Solidarity Corps is the new European Union initiative which creates opportunities for young people to volunteer or work in projects in their own country or abroad that benefit communities and people around Europe.
The young people who participate in the European Solidarity Corps will all agree with and uphold its Mission and Principles.
Volunteering as part of the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) provides young people with the unique chance to express their personal commitment through a full-time voluntary activities in a foreign country for a period of up to one year. Young volunteers can develop new skills and, therefore, improve their personal, educational and professional development. “Volunteers united in diversity” is a 6-month project that aims to engage the volunteers to youth activities and projects implemented by the hosting organization in the fields of Youth participation, Human Rights and Democracy, Media and Structured Dialogue. The volunteers will participate to a series of activities that aim to promote youth participation and active engagement within their society, especially to young people who lack of opportunities. Through their involvement, the volunteers will act for the support of the local youth and contribute to the overall aim of the host organisation which is to improve young people’s everyday life.
When: Starting date 15th of January 2020
Duration: 6 months
Where: Athens, Greece
We are looking for: 2 young people from Slovakia, 1 from Ukraine and 1 from Latvia
